Collective Worship
We come together for collective worship every day. Our worships are inclusive and invitational to support staff and children from all faiths. As stated by the Education Act, Worship ‘is wholly or mainly of a broad Christian character, the main emphasis being on the broad traditions of Christian belief.'
Our collective worship is planned considering our school context, community, values, and vision. Worship reflects Anglican beliefs, practices, and values in accordance with the requirements of the Trust Deed. Worship time is cherished and an important part of our daily routine. Pupils and adults are invited to engage in Worship to explore our vision and values to foster pupils’ spiritual development, reflect, and learn about the teachings of Jesus.
Our week of worship:
Monday: Whole School Worship led by Miss Holder or Mrs. Caselin
Tuesday: Whole School Praise Worship
Wednesday: Whole School Worship led by each class teacher across the term or the Church Team
Thursday: Class Worship
Friday: Gold Book (celebration) Worship led by our Head Boy and Head Girl
Our Worship Committee open and close our worship each day and work on chosen areas to develop within our school community.
Our Intent for Worship
Through collective and class worship, children will develop a deep understanding of Bible stories and be able to reflect and apply Christian values in their own lives and nurture and develop a sense of personal spirituality and meaning.
