Physical Education

Be curious - A curriculum that encourages all children to feel able to explore new sports and physical activities, develop their own interests, and develop the skills, knowledge, and vocabulary through a PE curriculum that is accessible to all; nurturing all different abilities.

Love learning - A curriculum that ensures children feel safe to discover their own passions and love of physical activity. Children are given opportunities to compete at all levels and all abilities so their own strengths and skills are celebrated and allowing them to shine; either as a team or an individual.

Grow together with respect - Children are cherished and encouraged to recognise and respect the strengths of themselves and others, enabling them to develop their health, fitness, and mental wellbeing. We aim to provide equal opportunity for learning experiences in a broad range of sporting activities. As well as developing values and transferrable life skills, such as fairness and respect.

PE Purpose of Study

A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sports and other physically demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way that supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect. - National Curriculum

‘Be curious, love learning and grow together with respect.’
